If previously we’ve felt the peculiar sensation of Banyuwangi pecel rawon, now we want to try to taste the salad soup. This one is also one of the typical food of Banyuwangi and can only be enjoyed in this city anyway.

There are enough sellers salad soup that can be found in the town of Banyuwangi. But according to recommendation of few friends who live in Banyuwangi as well as culinary hobby, so we decided to try the soup salad menu that is in the path of the archipelago. More precisely the salad stall “Bu Ning” in front of the cinema rhythm, but the movie is old does not operate anymore.

Back again to the salad soup, when it arrived in the archipelago-hour road show number 3 and the sun was not as oppressive as in the middle of the day. We’ve found the shop in question, see the deserted stall, there was a little doubt, and we did not stop. We circled around and around the town of Banyuwangi, looking at a few places that sell soup salad menu. Until finally we stopped at the town square, according to the experience they had done before, to find out a famous place to eat delicious, people who can be trusted is a parking, a pedicab driver or the local people who look like to have a hobby of eating. After asking several people, it was decided to return to the salad shop in front of the ex. Rhythm cinema.

Without any doubt, we went straight in and order a salad soup. The seller was a nimble and agile start concocting our order. In less than 10 minutes, salad soup that we ordered was available over the counter. Before eating it, I was watching a plate of salad soup carefully. There did exist any complete salad ingredients mixed with tripe soup. And slowly I began to eat it, again I do not can not find words suitable to describe the combination of taste. But the flavor of this soup is created from the salad is really unique, delicious, tasty, fresh and all the expressions of any kind no one can represent it with certainty. It can only be said as soup and also as a salad. But indeed it’s a mix to make people addicted to return again to enjoy when they travel to the city of Banyuwangi.

After chatting with Ms. Pon as owner with her daughter Ms. Anik, it has been standing stalls from 23 years ago. And already many people who never experience the joys of soup salad mix, both of Banyuwangi own or those coming from out of town. First stall is open from morning till night, but since he was old enough and was tired, so now this stall was opened from 9 am until 5 pm today. After a talk at length, it turns out this shop also sells salad cingur, an office employee who usually come more often ordered cingur salad and eaten with white rice. Out of curiosity, one of the partners was immediately asked Mrs. Pon to make a serving of salad cingur.

Just when making soup salad, in a short time only a portion of salad cingur was already delivered to the table. And wow, portions are quite a lot too, abundant spices mixed with other ingredients. Apparently it is true, the cingur is clean and does not smell the cow, having eaten it feels really solid, the composition of ingredients that do not make it so it feels stingy. Cingurnya soft and tasteless, because never try salad cingur but the cingur is not there in a sense, if the Javanese say “cingure anyep, the taste is not nauseated” in contrast to cingur in this shop.

After a full stomach, it was time to make up for the pleasure we had just enjoyed. And it turns out, for serving soup salad and the cingur salad, you only need to pay 9ribu rupiahs for each portion. But unfortunately, this shop does not exist in Denpasar, even if there might be every day we ate at this stall. Although the stall is open every day except week, but when Ramadan comes, this shop will be closed for 1 full month and will return to serve the buyer at the time of the feast of Eid al-Fitr is the first. So for those of you who happen to want to enjoy the salad soup during the holidays, just get ready to queue up patiently.
